About The Speakers

Dr. Judith Wright, founder of the Wright Foundation for the Realization of Human Potential and the Wright Graduate University, is a successful entrepreneur, sought-after speaker, best-selling author, corporate consultant, and women’s empowerment pioneer.

Dr. Judith founded the Society of Femininity in Action (SOFIA) which provides revolutionary leadership training and development for women. Her work has been covered in over 1,000 media appearances including ABCs 20/20, Oprah, Good Morning America, and the Today show.

A forerunner in the field of human development, Dr. Wright first rose to national prominence by developing innovative education and early childhood development programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and demonstration programs for college students with disabilities. These experiences fueled her passion for supporting people to lead lives they love, fulfilling their potential, and making a difference in the world.

She went on to co-found The Wright Foundation and the Wright Graduate University where she also serves as Professor of Transformational Education and Chief Academic Officer.

A media favorite, Dr. Judith Wright is the author of multiple books including Transformed: The Science of Spectacular Living, The Heart of the Fight, The One Decision, The Soft Addiction Solution, and There Must Be More Than This.

Christie Hefner is a seasoned professional with more than thirty years of executive and board experience in both public and private companies.  From 1988-2008, Hefner was Chairman and CEO of Playboy Enterprises, Inc., making her the longest serving female CEO of a U.S. public company.  During her tenure, Christie restructured the company, initiating its highly successful electronic and international expansion.  She also greatly expanded the leveraging of the Playboy brand via licensing, generating close to $1 billion in annual retail sales, 80% of them in women’s products.  When she left, over 40% of her executives were women.  For three years, Christie was named one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in the World.

A strong advocate for women, Hefner was a founding member of The Chicago Network, The Committee of 200, and the Chicago Chapter of Women Corporate Directors.

Christie is on the Advisory Board of Springboard Enterprises, a nonprofit that is an accelerator for women tech entrepreneurs and supports them as they raise capital to grow their businesses.  She has been inducted into the Women’s Business Development Center Hall of Fame for “opening doors and building opportunities for all women entrepreneurs.”

Jill Wine-Banks originally made her mark as one of the three Assistant Watergate Special Prosecutors, where she was the only woman, in the obstruction of justice trial against President Nixon’s top aides.

Her journey as an influential leader did not stop there—General Counsel of the U.S. Army under President Carter, member of the Army Policy and Procurement Council and GC of the Panama Canal Corporation, private practice lawyer and partner in prestigious law firms, Deputy Attorney General for the State of Illinois, Executive VP and COO of the American Bar Association, global business development at Motorola, Maytag’s VP of Alliance Management, CEO of Winning Workplaces non-profit, critical figure in Chicago Public schools boosting career opportunities, Secretary of Defense to the Judicial Proceedings Panel’s Subcommittee on Sexual Assault, and so much more.

Internationally recognized and awarded, Ms. Wine Banks is a renowned legal analyst for many national and international media outlets, like MSNBC. Throughout her career, she has advocated for women in many ways while modeling how to contribute to a world that works for everyone.
